Salam

Hi and Welcome to my website. I usually start of by telling everyone I have a very long name: Seyed Ali Alhosseini Almodarresi Yasin. But you can just call me: Ali!

I am a doctoral researcher in the field of machine learning at the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam, Germnay. My research focuses on online social networks and the impact of social bots in information diffusion. While using web mining techniques, I aim to use social media data and machine learning models to better understand how information spreads on online platforms.

I graduated from Yazd University, Iran, with a MSc degree, and from Isfahan University of Technogology, Iran, with a BSc both in Computer Software Engineering. I am currently working as a research assistant and teaching Social Media Mining at the Hasso-Plattner-Institute.
